The Saudi Association for Health Informatics (SAHI) is organizing the Saudi e-Health Conference 2010 in May 3-5, 2010 at King Faisal Hall, Intercontinental, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
The conference will be held under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Mugren bin Abdulaziz, President of the General Intelligence and the Honorary Chairman of the SAHI.
The Saudi E-Health 2010 conference will bring together both healthcare providers and information technologists to empower the advancements in the delivery, quality, and continuity of health care.
Speakers from various academic disciplines, professions, countries and organizations will share their knowledge and experiences. Case studies and lessons learned will be presented as well as updates on national e-Health initiatives.
Dr Majed Al-Tewajri the president of SAHI stated that the conference focus on introducing key concepts, issues and applications in applied health informatics, the discipline addressing the preparation for, and the procurement, deployment, implementation, resourcing, effective usage, and evaluation of health informatics solutions in the healthcare systems.
Also the conference aims to expand awareness about health informatics and emphasize its importance in enhancing the quality of healthcare delivery, ensuring the efficient utilization of resources. And to explore the e-Health new trends and latest technologies.
In addition it aims to create opportunities for networking, exchange experiences and sharing knowledge in the field of healthcare informatics, said Dr. Al-Tewajri.
The Saudi E-Health Conference is the largest of its’ kind In the Middle East. It was first held in May 2006 & in March 2008,. Over 500 healthcare senior managers, executives, e-Health project managers, healthcare professionals, biomedical engineers, and information technology professionals attended each conference.
